Job summary

International Paper in Milltown, NJ is seeking a Plant Utility/General Helper to support continuous production. You will operate pre-feeder and press equipment, keep the machine stocked with dies, ink, and supplies, and perform light hand labor as needed.

Responsibilities include mounting print plates, coordinating with operators, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while adhering to quality standards. This role offers growth opportunities within a large, global packaging company.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift ink buckets weighing up to fifty pounds.
• Must safely use T-handle wrenches for setting pull collars and slotting heads.
• Must read a standard tape measure, and read and understand job specification cards.
• Must follow all safety rules and procedures; wear PPE as required.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and to apply instructions from written or oral form.
• Demonstrated ability to add and subtract units; read and copy figures; count and record figures.

Responsibilities

• Operate the machine pre-feeder and press to ensure continuous run.
• Keep the machine fed with stock, printing dies, cutting dies, and ink as needed.
• Perform hand labor such as gluing and other tasks as needed.
• Mount print plates during setup and when returning tooling to the rack.
• Serve as machine supply liaison and setup assistant for assigned functions.
• Perform set up duties on machines as assigned.
• Maintain housekeeping and keep the work area clean and free of clutter.
• Support quality assurance activities as required.
• Complete work as assigned by the Supervisor or Machine Operator.
