Covia is seeking a dynamic Utility Operator at our Dividing Creek location to ensure safe and productive plant operation. The role includes backfilling operator positions, assisting maintenance, and supporting production with accurate paperwork and quality control.

A strong safety mindset and English literacy are required. Qualified candidates will have mining operations exposure (sand preferred) and proven ability to operate heavy equipment safely as part of a collaborative team working to meet

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Literacy in English, both verbally and written.
• Experience in mining operations (sand preferred).
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
• Commitment to safety and risk management.
• Experience collaborating within a professional team to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Backfill operator positions and assist maintenance as needed.
• Support production orders, quotas, and overall quality at the site.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Assist with packaging, shipping, bulk, and control room tasks as directed by management.
• Maintain housekeeping at the site.
• Adhere to MSHA regulations and site safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
