Covia is seeking a Utility Operator at our Lugoff, SC location to ensure the safe and productive operation of the plant. The successful candidate will operate equipment and backfill all operator positions during absences, supporting production and maintenance needs while adhering to all safety regulations.

With a strong commitment to safety and teamwork, candidates should possess a high school diploma and relevant mining operations experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Literacy in English, both verbally and written.
• Previous experience within mining operations (preferably sand).
• Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment adequately.
• Demonstrated experience contributing within a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and productive operation of the plant.
• Operate equipment efficiently to prevent downtime.
• Assist with plant maintenance as required.
• Complete required paperwork in an orderly manner.
• Perform duties in packaging, shipping, and control room.
