Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a mechanical technician in an industrial or regulated environment.
• Experience with quality process and utilities systems.
• Basic computer skills and ability to troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair site utilities systems (boilers, water, steam, air, fire systems).
• Complete scheduled maintenance orders per CMMS metrics.
• Repair piping, boilers, water systems, steam, and compressed air networks.
• Ensure all systems meet EHS and GMP standards.
• Take samples, log data, and document per procedures.
• Troubleshoot pumps, motors, valves, and liquid transfer equipment.
• Perform planned maintenance and small projects.
• Monitor daily system performance and keep areas clean.
• Manage spare parts and report shortages.
• Perform emergency and routine maintenance.
• Maintain tools, logbooks, PPE, and GMP documentation.
• Report incidents and quality issues promptly.
• Participate in training to stay current.
• Complete basic repairs with minimal supervision.
• Assist more senior technicians on complex projects.
• Develop utility skills through on‑the‑job training.
• Ensure all logbooks and permits are accurate.
• Stay current with site, EHS, regulatory training.
• Adhere to safety procedures and GSK standards.
