Qualifications

• Promotion: 1-year of permanent service as a Plant Utilities Engineer 1.
• Eligible for the 55 B/C program under the Governor's program; provide eligibility letter.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Plant Utilities Engineers 1 and other staff engaged in plant operations, maintenance, and repair.
• Schedule, plan, and supervise activities of staff and contractors in plant operations.
• Provide training and implement procedure changes to improve efficiency.
• Inspect plant equipment and operations for proper maintenance and safe, efficient operation.
• Prepare material and cost estimates; order materials and maintain inventories.
• Supervise handling of hazardous materials and incident response with safety focus.
• Identify budget requirements and advise on annual operating budgets; enforce energy conservation.
