• Supervise Plant Utilities Engineers 1 and other staff and contractors involved with plant operations.
• Schedule, plan, and supervise activities of skilled and semi-skilled staff and contractors.
• Provide training and instruction to staff and implement procedural changes to improve efficiency.
• Inspect plant equipment and operations to ensure proper maintenance and safe operations.
• Prepare estimates of materials and costs; order materials and maintain inventories.
• Coordinate handling of hazardous materials and respond to environmental or safety incidents.
• Identify budget requirements and help prepare annual operating budgets.
• Enforce energy conservation protocols and supervise equipment modifications for peak efficiency.
