Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY seeks a Plant Utilities Engineer 3 to oversee and coordinate the operation and maintenance of heat generating, HVAC and electrical equipment. The role includes data gathering, analysis, program development, and staff coordination in support of the Physical Plant’s plan and safety initiatives.

Responsibilities include directing programs on systems maintenance, health and safety, and energy conservation, with a NYS Driver’s License required.

The incumbent will also plan, direct and coordinate programs involving systems maintenance, health safety issues, and energy conservation. Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver's License.

Minimum Qualifications:

New York State Department of Civil Service Eligible List or eligible for transfer.

Work Days:

Schedule based on 40 hour work week. Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
