Upstate Medical University seeks an individual responsible for oversight of HVAC operations during the night shift. This role includes supervision of staff involved in maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.
Applicants should be able to perform physical tasks, maintain a valid New York State Driver's license, and work under safety regulations. The position offers a permanent status with a salary starting at $63,136 plus additional compensation for geographic location.
Reporting to the Plant Utilities Engineer 3, you will be responsible for oversight of all operations, repairs and supervision of HVAC systems during the night shift. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: direct and coordinate staff in the operation and maintenance of heat generating, air conditioning, HVAC and electrical equipment, inspecting equipment, troubleshooting, test calibration, maintenance, and repair of systems; perform various administrative duties such as data gathering, qualitative and quantitative analysis, projects, program development, and coordination of duties in support of the Plant Utilities Engineer 3’s plan. Direct and coordinate programs involving systems maintenance, health safety issues, and energy conservation.
Must be able to lift, climb, stoop, bend, stand, and stretch for long periods of time and be able to perform moderate to heavy lifting. Must be free of facial hair or beard that may interfere with the fit or seal of a mask respirator at point of fit test. A mask must be worn to comply with State & Federal Safety Health Codes. Must possess and maintain a valid New York State Driver's license.
