Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Industrialization of new products, including support during start-up, tool optimizations, and process and product adoption; interpret and analyze product calculations.
- Conduct root cause analysis in case of failures related to process, material, or tools during the project phase, coordinating on-site between CPS and operations.
- Continuously improve stability and reduce waste during the project phase, including organization and coordination of tool launches on-site.
- Support ramp-up activities for new projects and industrialization within the plant.
- Participate in tool acceptance processes and implement profit-oriented change management.
- Ensure smooth handover to operations by achieving all project targets related to new part approval; transfer of technology know-how (product, material, process, tools, etc.).
- Collaborate on customer projects as part of the project team and support operational topics.
- Maintain full responsibility for tools used in Carcoustics, managing activities such as RFQs, tool maker selection, tool kick-off, specifications, design approval, scheduling, acceptance, and launch.
- Work closely with project team members, including costing, maintenance, purchasing, and the production plant; develop innovative process solutions; collaborate on creating process documentation and D/PFMEAs; travel to production plants for new tool launches as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Tool and Process Engineer or similar role, preferably in the automotive industry; understanding of GD&Ts, FMEAs, and CAD.
- Experience with thermoforming, injection molding, PU; automation experience is a plus.
