BPX Midstream is seeking a Plant Technician to safely operate plant facilities, utilities and equipment used to produce or refine oil and gas. The role includes working on plant inlet, compression, and process areas, supporting reliable production and process safety.

Located at Hawkville Central CDP, this position requires a 12-hour, 7-on/7-off shift schedule with emphasis on operational excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within BPX’s safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least five years of experience in oil and gas operations or a related industry.
• Proficiency with mechanical equipment and automation or instrumentation systems.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsabilités

• Operate facilities safely, economically, and with environmental awareness.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety and environmental practices.
• Develop and execute energy isolation plans for maintenance activities.
• Use verification applications to verify critical work and document failures.
• Maximize production by meeting product specifications and supporting facility runtime.
• Troubleshoot operational and maintenance problems.
• Perform routine housekeeping of plant and process areas.
• Interface with Maintenance and Production teams and other BPX units.
