Job summary

The J. M. Smucker Co. is seeking a Plant Technician for 2nd shift (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm) or 3rd shift (11:00 pm – 7:30 am) in New Bethlehem, PA.

The role reports to an Area Leader and requires a high-school diploma; a 2-year technical degree is preferred. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus, with emphasis on safety and quality. The position offers competitive starting pay of $22.78 per hour plus a $1.50 per hour shift differential, plus a comprehensive benefits package effective on day one.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year degree or technical certification preferred.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production equipment following GMP and safety rules.
• Support safety policies, identify unsafe conditions, and coach peers.
• Perform cleaning, inspection, and basic repairs on equipment.
• Changeovers, material handling, and documentation updates as needed.
• Analyze information and participate in root-cause investigations.
