Job summary

The J. M. Smucker Co. in New Bethlehem, PA, is hiring a Plant Technician for the 11 pm – 7:30 am shift. You will support safe, high-quality food production and work within a team to operate, maintain, and sanitize production equipment.

The role requires a high-school degree; a two-year technical degree is preferred. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus. You must be able to work nights, read SOPs and GMPs, and use basic computer tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred for advancement.
• Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work night shift (11 pm – 7:30 am).
• Ability to read and follow SOPs and GMPs; basic computer skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and sanitize production equipment.
• Cooperate within a highly functioning team to meet safety and quality standards.
• Identify and correct equipment issues; participate in preventative maintenance.
• Follow GMPs and safety policies; document actions in SOPs as needed.
• Perform CIL (cleaning, inspection, lubrication) activities and changeovers.
