Job description

Position Title: Plant Technician

Wage: $17.75/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 3pm-11pm

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Plant Technician for a company in Lake Geneva, WI. This is an associate-to-hire role.

Plant Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Use air-activated guns and belt sanders to remove burrs and blend surface flaws.
2. Maintain specifications and tolerances on parts.
3. Remove excess metal or flaws marked by inspection.
4. Operate wheel equipment to grind gates off casted parts.
5. Report machine issues to supervisors.
6. Inspect casted parts and report any quality issues.
7. Conduct quality checks.
8. Hand dip or operate robots to coat wax molds with slurry and sand.
9. Prepare molds for autoclave and maintain shell equipment.
10. Mix and maintain slurry levels as per instructions.
11. Operate wax presses and finishing machines.
12. Assemble patterns to runners and inspect wax parts for defects.
13. Attach wax parts to trees using hot glue.
14. Maintain a clean work environment.
15. Follow WPCC's safety and quality policies.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

Plant Technician Requirements:

1. Repeatedly lift parts weighing from 10lbs to 50lbs.
2. Able to stand for extended periods.
3. Some mechanical aptitude or previous machine operation experience.
4. Ability to read and understand English directions.
5. Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
