The University of Florida Herbarium (in the Florida Museum of Natural History) has a Federal Work Study position available to work on mounting plant specimens. Duties include handling dried specimens, staging on archival paper, gluing specimens and labels, and using linen strips for long-term preservation. Tasks require meticulous care and attention to detail.
The hours are flexible, between 8am-5pm Mon-Fri, excluding holidays, with a regular schedule of 6-12 hours per week preferred.
Expected Salary: $13.50/hour
Minimum Requirements: You must be a University of Florida student with funds in the “FWSP” program column of your financial aid allocation.
Preferred Qualifications: Same as minimum requirements.
