Job summary

York Building Products is seeking a Plant Support Specialist to keep our quarry moving with practical, hands-on work around crushers, conveyors, screens, and other heavy equipment. You’ll join a safety-focused crew and fix issues with a mechanical mindset to prevent downtime.

You’ll inspect, maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment, perform basic repairs, document work, and communicate clearly with the crew to maintain production and a safe work environment across outdoor and indoor sites.

Qualifications

• Experience around heavy equipment or machinery.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Safety-minded and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment before and after operation, checking safety components, fluids, tires, and more.
• Complete workplace exams and equipment checklists and catch issues before they turn into bigger problems.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot crushers, conveyors, screens, stackers, and other plant equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs to keep equipment running.
• Keep the plant clean, organized, and safe.
• Document completed work and identify repairs that need attention.
• Communicate with the crew to keep production moving safely and efficiently.
