Job summary

York Building Products is seeking an experienced Plant Operator to take the controls of our crushing and screening operation. You will monitor the plant, manage material flow, watch product quality, troubleshoot problems, and work closely with the crew to keep production on track.

This is hands-on work with crushers, conveyors, screens and stockpiles. You’ll perform inspections, operate the control room, and follow safety policies to keep equipment and people safe.

Qualifications

• Experience operating aggregate, crushing, or screening plants.
• Mining, quarry, or aggregate production experience preferred.
• Knowledge of crushers, conveyors, screens, stackers, and aggregate sizing.
• Experience with electronic controls, HMIs, and plant operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the plant using the HMI/control system.
• Maintain material flow, monitor product quality, and stockpile levels.
• Perform pre- and post-shift inspections and basic maintenance.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with crew to keep production moving.
