Job summary

Corning Inc. in Painted Post, NY, is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead the Erwin Manufacturing Complex’s planning, inventory, warehousing, and logistics to support production and customer demand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, materials management, production planning, logistics, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process-driven environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading production planning, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and material flow processes.
• Experience working cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, Excel, and supply chain reporting/analytics tools.
• Experience leading a plant or site supply chain function.
• Experience participating in S&OP, demand planning, or demand/supply alignment processes.
• APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
• Lean/Six Sigma training or certification.
• Experience with SAP or another large-scale ERP platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead site supply chain function across planning, inventory, warehousing, logistics, and material flow to meet safety, quality, service, cost, and productivity goals.
• Develop and coach the site supply chain team with accountability and collaboration.
• Drive demand and supply planning processes, including S&OP alignment.
• Monitor and mitigate supply chain risks such as shortages and capacity constraints.
• Ensure ERP/MRP discipline and master data integrity.
• Collaborate with procurement, suppliers, manufacturing, and other stakeholders to maintain material availability.
• Oversee warehousing, inbound/outbound logistics, and material movement for accurate deliveries.
• Establish and monitor KPIs on inventory, service levels, and performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across planning, inventory, and warehousing.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
