Job summary

Owens Corning in Mesquite, TX is seeking a Supply Chain Lead to guide planning, procurement, and logistics for the site. You will lead the Mesquite plant's supply chain team, drive service performance, and balance demand with production capacity.

This full-time onsite role requires 5–7 years of supply chain experience, strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills, and a track record of cross-functional leadership to improve inventory and costs while enabling continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive supply chain, operations, logistics, planning, customer service, or materials management experience.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience managing teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with demand planning, inventory management, procurement, logistics, and customer service.
• Experience with warehouse management, distribution operations, inventory storage strategies, space optimization, material flow, and warehouse efficiency initiatives.
• Strong proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; SAP preferred.
• Advanced analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the plant MRP process to align demand, production capacity, and materials.
• Lead regular supply and demand reviews to identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Maintain planning system integrity with accurate demand and inventory data.
• Partner with commercial, operations, and sourcing to develop short- and long-term supply plans.
• Support annual operating plans and forecasting through capacity, inventory, and supply analysis.
• Establish and validate inventory strategies to meet service and working capital goals.
• Monitor inventory performance and address shortages, excess, and slow-moving materials.
• Optimize logistics networks and transportation planning to improve service levels and reduce costs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, TPM, and data-driven methods.
• Champion safety, quality and compliance within supply chain operations.
