Job summary

Komatsu in Peoria, Illinois, is seeking a Plant Supervisor to oversee Assembly operations including the Modification and Touch up paint areas. Responsibilities include supervising the flow of parts and machines, training staff, maintaining 5S standards, and driving continuous improvement to reduce defects and meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school degree required; associate or undergraduate degree preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Minimum three years of supervision experience in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise flow of parts and machines through assembly and paint processes to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Lead training and communications to ensure quality and drive continuous improvement; document issues and corrective actions.
• Ensure safety, environmental and 5S compliance; monitor and correct deviations.
• Motivate staff to achieve safety, quality and productivity goals; develop department and individuals.
• Be aware of daily schedules for welding, machining, shot blasting, painting and warehouse operations.
• Assign employees based on daily schedules to meet targets.
• Maintain attendance records and support payroll processes.
• Support Diversity & Inclusion and corporate policies.
