Summary/Job Scope:

Operate plant and assist Operations Manager III in the daily operations, including managing the drivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordination of daily plant operations and personnel
  2. Operation of computerized batch panel
  3. Monitoring raw material feed, truck availability and sequencing, customer needs and mix designs to assure product quality and timely delivery
  4. Oversee the cleaning of mixer, chutes, conveyors, catwalks and other general plant areas to eliminate material build-up
  5. General housekeeping of batch office
  6. Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems in the plant
  7. Verify lubrication of all plant equipment and documentation
  8. Minor repair of all plant equipment
  9. Assisting in emergency repair situations of plant
  10. Basic preventive maintenance
  11. Knowledge of basic office machinery
  12. Take customer orders and understand truck scheduling
  13. Record keeping, maintaining files, answer phones and data entry
  14. Provide directions and assistance to drivers using radio equipment and mapping software
  15. Coordinate daily functions with various operations
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum MCA Level 1 Technician or ability to pass within 6 months of hire
  2. Basic mechanical skills
  3. Basic computer knowledge
  4. Ability to read and write
  5. Knowledge of materials
  6. Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time in a fast-paced environment
  7. Knowledge of materials and equipment (e.g., conveyor lines, concrete plant)
  8. Knowledge of local geography and truck routes
  9. Knowledge of lock-out, tag-out, and confined space procedures
  10. Ability to work extended weekday hours, weekends and night shifts

Salary Range: $68K to $73K
