Job summary

Job description

Position Summary

The Plant Superintendent in Harvard, IL, is responsible for leading the day‑to‑day operations of all departments at the facility. Focus areas include compliance with SQE laws and regulations, assessing plant resource priorities, managing operational equipment effectiveness (OEE), and ensuring colleague adherence to policies and procedures. The role works closely with the Plant Manager and department supervisors to execute short‑term and long‑term performance goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active, hands‑on involvement and daily presence within the facility handling production, bagging, warehouse and delivery issues, ensuring colleagues have the necessary tools and supplies.
  • Support Readiness (Performance Excellence & A2E) and execute short‑term and long‑term priorities with urgency through decision‑making, delegating, and collaboration.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to colleagues, spending significant time mentoring, providing support and auditing practices and policies.
  • Display commitment to developing colleagues through regular performance and development touch‑bases.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, trust, and early escalation of issues and concerns.
  • Assist in budget management for the facility.

Salary

Base pay offered may vary. The pay range for this position is expected to be between $72,900.00 – $131,800.00. The total compensation package also includes an annual bonus.
