Job summary

Voltage Energy Storage seeks a seasoned Plant Manager to lead all manufacturing operations in our new North Carolina facility. You will drive safety, quality, productivity, and cost targets while managing production planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role includes readiness planning, equipment installation, staffing, and commissioning to support growth. As a hands-on leader, you will build a high-performance operations team, implement Lean/Six Sigma improvements,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years manufacturing leadership experience, with 5+ in a Plant Manager or Senior Operations role.
• Experience with equipment installation, plant startup, or new facility launch preferred.
• Strong understanding of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality systems.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, safety, warehousing, and logistics; translate goals into daily plans.
• Drive Lean, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma to improve throughput and cost efficiency.
• Maintain OSHA/EHS compliance and a proactive safety culture.
• Manage staffing, onboarding, training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Monitor daily/weekly production plans; optimize KPIs like OEE, downtime, and on-time delivery.
• Oversee maintenance programs and equipment commissioning for new facility launch.
• Develop and manage operating budget and capital expenditures.
• Collaborate with execs, construction, and engineering on pre-launch/site readiness.
• Build a phased staffing plan and HR collaboration for onboarding and training.
• Track ramp-up KPIs in first 90–180 days and establish continuous improvement roadmap.
