Job summary

Voltage Energy Group is seeking a Plant Manager in Timberlake, NC to lead all manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. The role oversees production planning, maintenance, and continuous improvement, including readiness for a new facility launch.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Operations/Industrial Technology and 10+ years of manufacturing leadership, with 5+ in a Plant Manager role, plus ERP experience (SAP/Oracle).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership, with at least 5+ in Plant Manager or Senior Operations role.
• Strong understanding of production planning, lean manufacturing, and quality systems.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality, safety, warehousing, and logistics.
• Drive operational excellence through Lean, 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Maintain a safe working environment aligned with OSHA and EHS standards; drive safety culture.
• Manage and develop a cross-functional operations team; staffing, training, performance, succession.
• Monitor and adjust production plans to meet delivery requirements and cost objectives.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance and equipment readiness for ramp-ups.
• Develop and manage the plant budget and capital expenditures; present to leadership.
• Lead new facility pre-launch planning: layout, workflow, equipment specs, risk mitigations.
• Coordinate equipment installation, validation, FAT/SAT, and commissioning for go-live.
• Build staffing plans, training programs, and shift structures for scale-up.
• Track KPIs during ramp-up, identify bottlenecks, and implement rapid improvements.
