Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Site Manager to lead a fast-paced mulch, soil and stone manufacturing facility in Elmer, NJ. You will supervise safety, production flow and cost controls.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong analytical skills and experience in manufacturing management. Responsibilities include optimizing operations, managing P&L, and engaging a diverse team.

Competitive salary and benefits offered; base pay range $96,000–$101,000 with 401k, disability coverage and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree, and/or equivalent combination(s) of education, industry experience and training
• 2+ years manufacturing management experience
• Must have excellent analytical and communication skills
• Must have MS Office skills
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Experience in wood/aggregates/mining/stone products preferred
• Experience with heavy equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Establish highest standards of manufacturing operation, from housekeeping to safety and maintenance
• Provide leadership to staff, assess performance, and direct operations to ensure safety, quality and consistency
• Ensure workplace safety through implementation and enforcement of company standards and safety programs
• Leverage existing tools to implement process improvement methods and drive productivity
• Procure and profitably negotiate raw materials, set up logistics to meet production demand
• Implement and sustain a solid preventive maintenance program
• Responsible for financial performance of own facility (P&L, budget & forecast, inventory management, labor and capital planning)
