Job summary

ADM Lincoln, NE seeks a Swing Shift Supervisor to oversee plant operations on their shift. The role is salaried exempt, directing daily production and maintenance, coaching safety and quality programs, and ensuring efficient performance across shifts.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication skills, and a track record of improving safety and efficiency within oilseed processing. Rotation shifts and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing).
• Prior experience leading / supervising people is preferred.
• Self-starter capable of making decisions with minimal oversight.
• Results-driven mindset to support leadership goals.
• Ability to motivate and engage direct reports and demonstrate leadership.
• Decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience with production logs and safety permits; proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience in extraction/grain handling or oilseed processing is beneficial.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Schedule teams including vacation time and cross-training to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Demonstrate strong communication in face-to-face and written form.
• Communicate shift performance, downtime, root-cause results, and incidents as needed.
• Lead safety, feed and food safety, quality, environmental programs and performance excellence.
• Direct daily production and maintenance activities.
• Report defects and repairs via Maximo; report safety/environmental events via Sphera Cloud.
• Aim to improve safety, processes and plant efficiency.
• Serve as person in charge during shift, providing direction and technical guidance.
• Lead team to zero recordable injuries; gain hands-on understanding of oilseed processing.
• Manage department operations to maximize efficiency and control costs.
• Train and coach shift personnel on safety practices, SOPs and company systems.
• Interact with all plant personnel; perform duties as required.
• Attend trainings and team meetings outside shift hours when needed.
