Job summary

ADM in Lincoln, NE is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor to oversee plant operations for their assigned shift. This salaried exempt role requires leadership, safety accountability, and effective team coordination to maintain performance.

You will schedule and supervise a team, ensure cross-training, communicate shift performance and incidents, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency across production and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with strong math, reading, and writing skills.
• Prior experience leading or supervising people.
• Self-starter with ability to make decisions independently.

• Ability to motivate and engage direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift by providing direction, leadership, motivation, and coaching.
• Schedule team including vacations and cross-training.
• Communicate shift performance and downtime; report issues.
• Drive safety, quality, and environmental programs.
• Direct daily production and maintenance activities.
• Report defects via Maximo; safety events via Sphera Cloud.
• Serve as person in charge during shift.
• Aim for zero injuries.
• Manage department operations to maximize efficiency and control costs.
• Train and coach shift personnel on safety and procedures.
• Interact with plant personnel.
• Attend trainings and meetings outside shift hours.
