Job summary

Enviva seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead day-to-day plant operations, driving safety, quality and productivity. The role involves directing a production team, maintaining performance metrics, and reporting on progress to the Production Manager.

The candidate should have 2+ years in industrial/manufacturing, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Outdoor conditions, heat and noise are expected on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years industrial/manufacturing experience/wood products background.
• Proficient in basic computer knowledge.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player; previous management a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the plant delivering key performance indicators (safety, quality, production and cost).
• Maintain documentation on employee performance and accountability to drive performance.
• Ensure a safe working environment is established and maintained.
• Enforce good housekeeping standards.
• Provide direction to team regarding duties and goals.
• Ensure paperwork & status reporting are completed timely and accurately.
• Ensure daily and consistent communications and shift meetings.
• Perform work assigned by Production Manager to ensure successful operation.
