Job summary

Nexus Circular is seeking a knowledgeable Shift Supervisor for our manufacturing plant. You will oversee the operations of a production shift, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are met, and lead a team of production operators.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in manufacturing, and ability to drive continuous improvement. You\'ll set daily targets, monitor processes, coordinate maintenance, and support hiring and onboarding as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or high school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational education in a relevant field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Shift Supervisor, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and best practices for operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of production operators to meet targets and quality standards.
• Oversee shift performance including productivity, quality, and safety compliance.
• Set daily production goals and priorities, communicating them to the team.
• Monitor processes and implement corrective actions for improvements.
• Conduct inspections to ensure SOPs and quality controls are followed.
• Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to optimize flow.
• Train and develop operators to enhance skills and performance.
• Maintain production records and shift reports.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support safety culture and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Assist in hiring and onboarding new team members as needed.
• Be a key member of the plant emergency response team.
