Job summary

The Simplot Company in Ontario, Oregon is seeking a Plant Safety Manager to lead the development and implementation of safety, health, and environmental programs across our manufacturing facilities. You will partner with plant leadership to foster a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.

This role requires 3–5+ years in safety management within manufacturing, a bachelor's degree, and preferred CSP/OHST/CIH credentials.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of related experience in safety management.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state safety laws and regulations.
• Preferred CSP/OHST/CIH certifications or willingness to pursue.

Responsibilities

• Make recommendations and presentations to senior management based on safety methodology.
• Develop and implements proactive safety processes at the Company facilities for injury prevention.
• Manage people, projects, and/or programs; interface with agencies and facility personnel.
• Provide leadership to create standardized processes for all safety compliance activities.
• Conduct audits of safety programs and assist with investigations; communicate findings company-wide.
• Evaluate performance of program activities and provide management summaries.
• Oversee the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) process for the Company.
• Coordinate and facilitate training programs involving supervisory development, emergency response and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and direct management, professional, technical, and support personnel at locations.
