Elemental Enzymes seeks a Research Technician I to join our R&D team in St. Louis, focused on validating biological molecules and formulations for plant health.

Responsibilities include executing controlled plant trials, performing lab assays, and maintaining rigorous records to support product efficacy and mode of action studies. You will contribute to data analysis, protocol development, and collaboration with scientists to advance sustainable agricultural solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, plant sciences, or closely related field.
• Proven ability to execute experiments in a laboratory.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs (e.g., Excel) and willingness to learn new systems.
• Desirable: experience handling agricultural chemical/biological products.
• Desirable: experience working with plants in a lab.
• Ability to budget time and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Execute plant trials in controlled environments to validate efficacy, test compatibility, and support product claims for biological molecules.
• Conduct routine laboratory experiments using microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and plant-based analyses.
• Maintain detailed records using digital notebooks and trial management systems.
• Support trial evaluation using statistics and data presentation templates.
• Communicate research progress to internal stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and updating study protocols and data collection tools.
• Maintain facilities and materials per the CARE mission; other duties as assigned.
