Virginia Linen Service, Inc. is seeking a dynamic leader for a Maintenance Manager/Head Plant Engineer role in a growing, family-owned company with a long history dating back to 1934.
The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of maintenance leadership experience, oversee equipment reliability, facilities, utilities, and capital projects, and drive well-defined preventative maintenance programs. Qualifications
- 5+ years of maintenance experience, including 3–5 years leading a team.
- Strong knowledge of boilers, air compressors, hydraulics/pneumatics, electrical/PLCs, welding.
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills; ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Associate's degree in engineering preferred, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and schedule the maintenance team, including emergency coverage
- Build and improve preventative/predictive maintenance programs; track KPIs like uptime, MTBF, and MTTR
- Oversee boilers, air compressors, and plant utility systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC-driven systems
- Support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives
