Job summary

Olin is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Specialist in Manitowoc, WI to maximize plant equipment reliability by diagnosing failures, optimizing preventive maintenance, and leading capital projects. The role bridges hands-on repair with engineering analysis to reduce downtime.

You will collaborate with maintenance technicians, production supervisors, and engineers, develop documentation, perform calculations, and drive root-cause analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related field with 3+ years of experience.
• High school diploma with 6+ years of related experience.
• Experience in maintenance and reliability or manufacturing preferred.
• Able to manage high-volume workload, work independently, and collaborate with teams.
• Willingness to support 24/5 operations, including weekends.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and project management skills.
• Proficient in reading, writing and performing calculations with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical failures and optimize maintenance plans.
• Collaborate with technicians, supervisors, and leadership to reduce failures.
• Guide predictive and preventive maintenance programs and lead root-cause analyses.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and testing for reliability.
• Optimize preventive maintenance schedules using data and history.
• Schedule tasks including down-time, PMs, and capital project work.
• Manage capital projects and coordinate with vendors for conformance to specs.
• Work with electrical engineers, manufacturing, and R&D for integration.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and procedures.
• Estimate timelines, budgets and resources to keep projects on track.
• Identify bottlenecks via root-cause analysis and process mapping.
• Implement permanent engineering solutions to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
