Job summary

Kerry is seeking a Maintenance Lead at our Manitowoc, WI facility to direct the maintenance team, maximize machine uptime, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement across the plant. You will oversee maintenance programs, repairs, and capital projects while coordinating with production to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering, 5+ years in maintenance/engineering, and 3+ years of supervisory experience, with strong CMMS and CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in maintenance or engineering.
• At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
• Proven ability to build strong working relationships across teams and departments.
• Experience with CMMS systems.
• Fully proficient in interpreting CAD drawings for electrical, mechanical, and facility applications.
• Experience in the food industry, CAD and programming skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Health & Safety: Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all maintenance activities meet and exceed standards.
• Maintenance Oversight: Direct weekly schedules, urgent repairs, and daily maintenance to support operations.
• Asset Care: Lead maintenance program execution to minimize downtime.
• Team Leadership: Develop a high-performing maintenance team through coaching and training.
• Inventory & Budget Management: Optimize spare parts inventory and maintenance budget.
• Collaboration & Communication: Align with production teams and share updates.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate technical records and compliance documentation.
• Contractor Management: Oversee external contractors to meet standards.
• Capital Projects: Partner with central engineering on project design, installation, and commissioning.
