Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in fast-paced manufacturing.
• 2–3 years in a supervisory/lead role preferred.
• Experience in steel manufacturing and/or food processing is a strong plus.
• Proficiency with AC/DC motors, VFDs, pneumatics, electronic instrumentation, and wireless technologies.
• Skilled at reading electrical schematics/technical manuals; CMMS experience for work orders.
• Proven leadership, communication, and team-building; high attention to detail and results orientation.
• Ability to perform under pressure within a 24/7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Electrical/Controls and Mechanics teams to improve reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Enforce NEC, OSHA, LOTO, and high-voltage safety procedures; conduct safety meetings and hazard assessments.
• Plan and execute preventative and predictive maintenance programs; manage spare parts and inventory levels.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and control issues on high-speed production equipment.
• Program and optimize PLC/HMI systems; oversee automation upgrades and legacy migrations.
• Coordinate projects from scoping to startup; review schematics and coordinate vendors/contractors.
• Maintain planning documentation, work orders, logs, and KPI reporting.
