Job summary

Amcor seeks a Plant Quality Manager in Mundelein, IL to lead the quality and food safety systems, reducing variation through SPC and coordinating with customers on quality issues. You will drive continuous improvement with the Quality Team and ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, FDA, and related standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 5 years in manufacturing QA/QC and operations, and 2–3 years in a supervisory capacity, plus Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other Technical field required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing industry experience including QA/QC and Operations/Production.
• 2-3 years in a Leadership/Supervisory position.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of Statistical Analysis, DOE, Pareto charts and Histograms.
• Proficiency in PC-based tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; Minitab and ERP experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety leader and ensure safe working environment.
• Manage Quality Management System elements and ensure training.
• Align plant systems with corporate standards via reviews and audits.
• Generate scorecards and reports for all plant quality aspects.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, FDA, and other applicable requirements.
• Conduct advanced statistical analysis and process capability studies.
• Lead customer interactions regarding product quality.
• Identify customer requirements and communicate them to the plant.
• Lead and train Quality Team and lab/quality technicians.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and CI culture.
• Be an active member of plant leadership team.
