Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Plant Quality Manager in Lawrenceville, GA to lead quality assurance and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. You will oversee inspection, testing, and evaluation methods, mentor the quality team, and partner with Operations and Manufacturing Quality to resolve quality issues and introduce new formulas.

Travel about 10%, workweek Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm with flexibility for 24/7 support, and eligibility for performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor's degree or higher or at least four (4) years in quality control/assurance or R&D.
• At least three (3) years in R&D, product development, quality control/assurance or operations.
• Leadership experience in supervising others or leading teams (1+ year).
• Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.).
• Bachelor's in Chemistry or Engineering.
• Prior experience with quality testing and quality systems management (ISO 9001, etc.).
• Experience in multi-shift operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality procedures and standards are followed and met
• Manage and develop the quality team
• Partner with Operations Manager to standardize and support quality practices
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Quality and Technology to identify priorities and solve quality problems
• Coordinate with Regional Technical Director on quality improvements, complaint resolution, and new formula introductions
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality results and meet standards
• Manage new formula introduction
