Job summary

Maker's Pride seeks a Senior QA Leader to direct all quality assurance and food safety activities at the Des Plaines plant. You will coach the QA/FS teams, lead root cause analysis, and ensure compliance with FDA/USDA/GMP standards while driving continual improvements through lean principles.

You will manage audits, customer certifications, and food safety plans, partnering with production to sustain a robust quality culture and proactive prevention of issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in science/business or related field.
• PCQI and HACCP certifications preferred.
• Strong leadership with QA/food safety management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA and Food Safety programs (HACCP, Food Safety Plans, QA Plans).
• Drive internal audits to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
• Coach and mentor QA/FS teams; drive KPI improvements.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to improve quality culture and reduce complaints.
• Lead RCA/CAPA investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee regulatory compliance (FDA/USDA/OSHA) and SQF practices.
