Job summary

The Translational Pulmonary and Immunology Research Center (TPIRC) is seeking a Research Associate to support studies on plant-derived proteins and their role in food allergies and related disorders. You will perform plant protein extraction, purification, and characterization, and evaluate biological activity in translational settings.

The successful candidate will contribute to multidisciplinary research, maintain records, analyze data, and collaborate with investigators to advance project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in Life Sciences or related field required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct experiments involving plant protein extraction, purification, and characterization.
• Support projects investigating plant proteins associated with food allergies and related disorders.
• Perform biochemical, proteomic, and immunological assays.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data and prepare summaries of findings.
• Assist in developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting laboratory protocols.
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and research documentation.
• Prepare reagents, samples, and materials for ongoing studies.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, presentations, manuscripts, and grant materials.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and coordinate inventory of supplies and reagents.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Collaborate with investigators and research staff to achieve project goals.
