Job summary

Abbott Altavista facility in Virginia seeks a Plant Project Coordinator to support production initiatives in the Nutrition division. The role interfaces with engineering, maintenance, QA, facilities, vendors, and finance to ensure projects proceed with minimal production impact.

Experience in manufacturing coordination, process improvement, data collection, and documentation is valued. The position emphasizes adherence to FDA/OSHA and Abbott policies while enabling cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing support of all Operations capital scope projects and associated technical training for crew members.
• Support and lead process improvement and technical troubleshooting initiatives.
• Perform administrative duties (meetings, data collection & analysis, trend reports, PM closeout, budgets, orders, travel).
• Schedule maintenance and engineering work as needed; support engineering studies for plant/division.
• Support new product start-ups and task force participation.
• Help team resolve equipment efficiency issues, uptime and maintenance; ensure compliance with FDA/OSHA and Abbott policies.
• You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
