Job summary

Penn Color, Inc. in Hatfield, PA is seeking a Plant Project Engineer to own capital projects from concept through commissioning. This hands-on role supports production, maintenance and other departments and may travel to other US sites as needed.

You will prepare engineering reports and specifications, manage vendors, and use CAD tools to layout production lines, with a focus on safety, reliability and on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university is required.
• Hands-on experience in an industrial environment is preferred.
• Experience developing and executing capital projects in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of planning and delivery for assigned projects from conceptualization through commissioning.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering reports, specs, RFPs, construction docs and PM schedules.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
• Manage vendors, contractors and outside engineering firms to meet budgets and timelines.
• Utilize CAD tools to layout production lines for operator-centric functionality.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations on equipment reliability and safety.
• Maintain and update as-built documentation; submit safety improvements as needed.
