Job summary

ACH Food Companies, Inc. in Summit, IL is seeking a Project Engineer II to plan, execute, and finalize projects on time and within budget. You will coordinate engineers, technicians, and contractors, develop objectives, and manage lifecycle deliverables in a hands-on, on-site environment.

Responsibilities include creating project plans, communicating with stakeholders, drafting budgets, and driving continuous improvement using Lean and cGMP practices, with emphasis on safety and food quality.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (4 years+).
• 4–7 years PM or engineering experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Experience with SAP/Infor or ERP is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-scale project plans and communications.
• Communicate project expectations to team and stakeholders.
• Draft and submit budget proposals with changes as needed.
• Set and manage project expectations with team and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities and recommend process improvements.
• Manage changes in scope and devise contingency plans.
• Collaborate with Engineers, Technicians and Supervisors.
• Conduct post mortems and write recommendations reports.
• Develop best practices and tools for execution and management.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
• Perform other duties as directed by Plant Manager.
• Adhere to cGMPs and report food safety/quality issues.
