Job summary

ACH Food Companies, Inc. in Summit, IL seeks a Project Engineer II to plan, execute, and finalize projects on time and within budget at the Argo Plant. You will coordinate resources, manage external contractors, and drive lifecycle management for engineering projects.

The role requires 4–7 years in project management or engineering, a 4-year engineering degree, and proficiency with CAD tools, ERP systems, and MS Office. On-site work and adherence to cGMP are expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management or engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with CAD/engineering software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-scale project plans and communications documents.
• Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
• Draft and submit budget proposals and adjust as needed.
• Manage project scope, timelines, and risks.
• Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and supervisors.
• Conduct post-mortems and prepare recommendations report.
• Develop tools for project execution and lean manufacturing.
• Adhere to cGMP and quality/safety standards.
• Report food safety and quality issues to authorities.
