Job summary

Campbell Soup Company is seeking a Project Engineer to lead capital projects for our factory, ensuring adherence to Campbell’s standards and coordinating with maintenance, operations, quality and safety teams. You will manage project execution from planning through commissioning, while controlling budgets and delivering value in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; 3+ years of experience as a project manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is a plus.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black belt is desirable.
  • Experience with SAP, MS Office, and MS Project is required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with maintenance, operations, quality and safety teams to align projects with plant needs.
  • Develop and execute CAPEX projects from $25k to $1,000k+.
  • Develop project scopes, detailed engineering designs/layouts and specifications.
  • Direct and execute design, installation, construction, and commissioning of projects to ensure a seamless transition to operations.
  • Manage and control budgets, provide cost forecasts and cash flow projections.
  • Provide technical and troubleshooting support for operations and maintenance.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of process design and engineering principles.
  • Show strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exhibit strong communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills to rally teams.
  • Proven track record of leading successful projects from start to finish.
  • Adapt to a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Lead and inspire teams, driving performance and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.

How you will make history here...

The Project engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership by identifying, developing and executing capital projects for the factory. This position will maintain visibility to the design process and assure adherence to Campbells standards and project deliverables while directly managing overall project execution. Additionally, this position will coordinate with maintenance, operations, quality and safety groups inside and outside the organization.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $114,900-$158,000.
  • Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
  • Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
  • In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
