Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a reliable Utility Worker to support loading and unloading, operate production equipment, and maintain cleanliness of plant and equipment. The role requires strict adherence to safety rules and the ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

The position is in a manufacturing environment with potential travel to off-site locations. The worker will assist with FSMS responsibilities and follow standard operating procedures to ensure efficient, safe production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Operates machinery used in production processes or assists machine operators.
• Places products in equipment or on surfaces for processing, inspecting and wrapping.
• Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Starts machines or equipment to begin production processes.
• Observes equipment operations to detect malfunctions and notifies when needed.
• Removes products or waste material from machines.
• Lifts raw materials, finished products and packed items manually.
• Transfers finished or raw material between storage and work areas, by hand or forklift.
