Job summary

The ASSURANCE group in Hillside, NJ, seeks an energetic Plant Production Manager to lead daily operations in a 24/5 manufacturing environment. You will drive safety, efficiency, quality, and customer-service excellence while coaching supervisors and hourly staff.

This role requires strong HACCP knowledge, ERP/M3 experience, and a proven track record in production planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience managing labor, budgets, inventory, yields, KPIs, and production efficiency.
• ERP/M3 experience required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop salaried supervisors and hourly production employees.
• Manage production schedules, labor, raw materials, yields, utilities, overtime, and supplies.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Scheduling, and Shipping to meet goals.
• Establish KPIs and implement continuous-improvement plans for efficiency and quality.
• Maintain HACCP, personnel safety, housekeeping, and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot issues and recommend equipment/process-flow improvements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, downtime, cleaning, and repairs.
• Manage production transactions and inventory through the ERP/M3 system.
• Investigate incidents and product-quality concerns.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop salaried supervisors and hourly production employees.
• Manage production schedules, labor, raw materials, yields, utilities, overtime, and operating supplies.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Scheduling, and Shipping to meet production goals.
• Establish KPIs and implement continuous-improvement plans focused on efficiency, cost, quality, and safety.
• Maintain HACCP, personnel safety, housekeeping, and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend equipment and process-flow improvements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, scheduled downtime, equipment cleaning, and repairs.
• Manage production transactions and inventory through the ERP/M3 system.
• Investigate incidents, customer complaints, and product-quality concerns.
• Support plant operations during off-hours and assume Plant Manager responsibilities when needed.
