Job summary

Covia is seeking a Plant Supervisor for its Troy Grove, IL site to lead production and shipping, maximize output, and ensure safety and quality while managing costs. You will report to the Operations Plant Manager and directly supervise key production and maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will have extensive industrial experience, strong leadership, and a commitment to Covia’s safety culture. This role offers competitive salaries and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ maintenance supervisor experience.
• Experience supervising in an industrial or mineral processing environment preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to achieve results through others.
• Ball Mill, air classification maintenance experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise production activities including receiving raw materials, material flow, air classifying, ball mill operations, raw material and finished product quality sampling, product storage, maintenance and QC.
• Directly supervise maintenance activities including planning, spare parts management, purchasing, equipment condition monitoring, and work order management.
• Enforce safety using Covia SLAM risk protocol and lead regular safety meetings and toolbox talks.
