Job summary

Covia in Illinois seeks a Plant Engineer to support the Operations team at the Troy Grove and Wedron facilities, driving continuous improvement, implementing systems, and boosting productivity while engaging teams.

The successful candidate will lead Continuous Improvement projects for productivity, energy, and growth, develop KPI visuals, and deliver lean training across the plant, strengthening safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI initiatives for productivity, energy, and growth at Covia’s Troy Grove/Wedron facilities.
• Provide lean training to frontline and supervisory staff, and ensure process training is up to date.
• Foster a strong culture of personal and process safety across the organization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the Operations Management System.
