Job summary

Accufoam in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Plant Buyer to source and schedule inbound raw materials for the manufacturing line at our Pinson facility. You will develop inventory tracking for untracked consumables and work with suppliers to resolve delays while maintaining ERP data accuracy.

The role requires strong analytical, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Travel up to 10% within the United States may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.
• Experience in purchasing or procurement within manufacturing or supply chain is a plus.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems and Excel for data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and scheduling inbound raw materials and goods for production.
• Monitor inventory levels and use ERP tools to determine purchase requirements.
• Maintain supplier relationships and manage performance for reliability and quality.
• Ensure purchasing activities meet policy, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to reduce lead times and improve efficiency.
• Develop understanding of the production process to align procurement with needs.
