Job summary

Accufoam in Birmingham, AL, is seeking a Plant Buyer to source and schedule inbound raw materials for the manufacturing line at our Pinson facility. You will develop inventory tracking for untracked consumables and work with suppliers to resolve delays while maintaining ERP data accuracy.

The role requires strong analytical, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Travel up to 10% within the United States may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.
• Experience in purchasing or procurement within manufacturing or supply chain is a plus.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems and Excel for data-driven decisions.

The Plant Buyer will be responsible for ordering and scheduling inbound raw materials and other goods used in the production process. Additional responsibilities will include developing an inventory tracking process for consumables not captured in the ERP system. ***Duties/Responsibilities:**** **Sourcing and Procurement**: Communicate with suppliers to schedule inbound deliveries. Keep close contact with suppliers to communicate any delays or delivery issues to the rest of the team.* **Inventory Management**: Monitor inventory levels and utilize MRP/ERP tools to determine purchase requirements.
