Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two years post high school technical training preferred.
Must pass mechanical aptitude, mathematics and reading comprehension tests.
Experience troubleshooting and finding solutions.

Responsibilities

Operate plant equipment and associated systems.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Monitor the process operation and equipment; take readings and samples; perform basic lab analyses.
Use skills in vibration analysis, lubrication, thermography, and sensory evaluation to assess equipment reliability.
Identify operating problems and recommend actions to resolve deficiencies in rate, quality, or safety.
Collaborate with maintenance to maximize efficiency and keep equipment ready per schedule.
Generate work requests to fix deficiencies in process areas.
Use computers for job functions and training.
Assist with startup, shutdown, and operation of processes and equipment.
Maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
Work rotating 12-hour shifts with overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Climb stairs or ladders, enter confined spaces, or lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
